The lotus has long been held as a symbol of transformation and of the chakras within the body.

The Third Chakra’ or ‘Manipura’, is situated at the solar plexus  and its colour is yellow. In Sanskrit, the word Manipura means “lustrous gem”  and this chakra is related to inner personal power and the element of fire. The third chakra represents willpower, feelings of power and identity. In a way, the solar plexus chakra represents a driving force - an engine propelling our thoughts, feelings and desires.
