ARIES CANDLE

When the sun enters Aries at the spring equinox, nature receives a burst of energy. The first daring growth of the season pokes its tender shoots out from the still cold earth crust to greet the first warm rays of spring.

Aries embodies new beginnings, the fresh new start to the season, its infinite potential and plenty of energy. Aries are often pioneers and leaders in their field, inspiring enthusiasm in others and daring to go where no-one has dared to go before. Yet, once he has been there and done that he easily gets bored and looks for new challenges. Aries high energy can become destructive and aggressive if it becomes blocked and frustrated and finds no useful outlet. Aries is a heroic sign and likes to champion a good cause. He is expert at rescuing maidens in distress, though if no maidens can be found to rescue he may succumb to distressing them himself. Aries is a dare-devil and likes to play with fire for sheer entertainment's sake. To make the best use of his boundless energy Aries needs direction and focus, otherwise his energy dissipates or may turn against him. Aries is often rash and impulsive and fails to consider the interests or feelings of others who might be affected by his actions. For all his buoyancy he can be easily hurt and may take some time to recover from an emotional blow. He may be short tempered, but his anger, once vented disperses like a puff of smoke.

Aries is ruled by Mars and thrives on his energy. He can be courageous, brave and noble hearted, or big-headed, proud and egotistical. Venus may disarm him with love and render him ineffectual. The Sun makes Aries noble and charismatic.
