Hekate Goddess of Magic - SOLD OUT

20cms (8 1/4") in cold cast bronze resin, this is a wonderful depiction of the Greek Goddess Hekate. Hekate is associated with crossroads, entrance-ways, fire, light, night, Moon, Magick, Witchcraft, herbs, poisonous plants, necromancy and sorcery.  She is the Patron Goddess of Witches.  The only child of the Titans, Perses and Asteria, from whom she received her power over heaven, earth, and sea - Hekate was also known as Soteria (Saviour); 'Mother of Angels' and 'The Cosmic World Soul'; one of the main Gods worshipped as a protective Goddess who bestowed prosperity and daily blessings. She is a tripartite goddess, a representation of Maiden, Mother, Crone, often depicted with three faces; or as seen here, three female deities, and was re-interpreted in the 20th century from ancient myths, songs and statuary by such luminaries as Aleister Crowley and Robert Graves in The White Goddess.  Hekate assisted Demeter in her search for Persephone, guiding her through the night with flaming torches. Perfect for Altar or display.  A beautiful item! £64.99
