Description

This magnificent box is cast in the finest resin before being given a bronze finish and painstakingly hand-painted. All of the detail is shown on the lid of the box. Sitting on the ground, surrounded by animals, sits Cernunnos, the Horned God of the forest from the myths of the Celts. Over crossed shaggy goat legs, a red loincloth is held in place with a golden belt. A large triskelion sits on the belt buckle, intertwining spirals swirling deosil. Looking forward with an air of wisdom, his majestic antlers emerge from beneath his long hair. In his left hand, he holds a snake, and in his right, he holds a large bronze torc, symbolizing power and riches and around him stand a stag, a bear and a small fox.  6 x 3.25 inches. Depth 2 inches.
